Konstantine Soldatos (b. 1998, San Francisco, CA) is an artist currently based in Dallas, Texas, working in illustration, animation, new media art, video, sculpture, and performance. His work is primarily concerned with topics such as the grotesque, the flawed idolization of hypermasculinity, and self destructiveness, drawing from a variety of topics including lowbrow entertainment such as horror films and pulp fantasy, and his experiences with mixed martial arts and combat sports. He has received awards from the Doolin Materials Grant in 2020, along with most recently the Jones/Zelle Fund in 2021. His work has been featured in shows such as Cavity in 2020 at the Sweet Pass Sculpture Park, and Footage Found, Films made at the G. William Jones Film and Video Collection, a virtual screening at Top Ten Records in 2020.
